A beautifully animated picture and story book for children aged 4 and over.

A journey to the wonderful world of Dodoland where baby dodos/soothers enjoy life after leaving the little children’s teething mouths.

The story is written and illustrated in three separate languages German, English and Irish/Gaelic.

It can be appreciated by children of many ages, given the simplicity of the theme and the richness of the language. Children with younger siblings who still enjoy the comfort of their soother find it particularly enjoyable.

The project was produced by Tobar Productions and funded by the Irish Language Broadcast Fund in Belfast.

Dudley is the main character, a dodo who finds it very difficult living in a little boy’s mouth with so many nipping teeth. He has a recurring dream of a life far away in Dodoland. One day Dudley decides he has had enough and he leaps out of the bedroom window and slides down the roof on a new adventure, eventually making his way to the Dodo land of his dreams.
